Thorsten
Melsheimer studied viniculture
at the prestigious Geisenheim Wine University on the Rhine
before assuming duties at his family’s estate winery on
the Mosel.
Since
1997 all of his vineyards have qualified for the strictest standards
of Organic management of the German system, ECOVIN.
Moreover, he has continually won the highest acclaim for his quality
wines.
He was awarded the German Riesling Producer Award in 2005.
Melsheimer
wines have been featured at Northampton Wines for many years,
ever since their first importation to the USA by Stephanie van
Rhyn (Thorsten’s Aunt).
We are pleased to feature the entire range of wines from crisp
sparkling Brut,
to nearly dry dinner wines, to luscious Eiswein.
This dinner will display the complete array!
The
Wine Café Chefs, Johannes deBondt and Liz Bardsley,
will prepare a five course tasters menu
to accompany the following wines (all Melsheimer Estate wines).
